Commanding cavalry corps in East Tennessee, under General Longstreet, November -—, 1863, to February —- , 1864; subsequently commanding a division in Wheeler's Cavalry Corps, composed of the brigades of Brigadier Generals John T. Morgan and Alfred Iverson.
